2010 DALRC Board Elects Officers

The DALRC Board of Directors met in ATL this week.  The following slate of officers was approved unanimously:

Chairman:    Larry Beck
Vice-Chair:    Mike Podett
Secretary:    Jon Maynard
Treasurer:    Carl Brul

The DALRC had an excellent meeting with Rob Kight, VP Compensation, Benefits & Services at Delta.  We discussed the desire to reestablish a relationship of mutual respect and cooperation where we had common goals.  We agreed to explore a number of opportunities where, because of staffing issues, Delta has been challenged in doing as much as they would like to assist the retirees, and we feel we can help fill the gap.  One of those areas is providing Delta with a venue of meetings annually (our town hall and benefits roll out meetings) by coordinating calendars so that Delta can participate.

A meeting with J. Smith Lanier & Co., our insurance broker, was held to brief the new DALRC Board on our insurance programs.
